Kelly is the creative mind behind the InspirED Network model. For over 30 years she has worked in nearly every facet of education, from PreK through post-secondary, and has a deep understanding of what it takes to lead students to academic success.
Before founding InspirED Network, she was a classroom teacher, a supervisor at the district level, and the international project director of a framework for critical and creative thinking. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, first certified in 2000 and renewed in 2010 and 2020.
Dr. Lomax is also a professor in the College of Education at the University of Mobile, where she teaches aspiring and practicing teachers at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Using her classroom experience and knowledge of research-based practices to build relationships, her students and workshop participants show a deep connection and growth in academic and affective learning.

Students learn from teachers they trust, and teachers grow in schools where the culture supports risk-taking. Every workshop and coaching cycle starts there.
Strategies are chosen because the research supports them and because Kelly has used them with real students.
The goal is authentic use in the classroom, so every engagement includes follow-up and coaching.
Dr. Lomax is a National Board Certified Teacher and is affiliated with ASCD and the National Association for Gifted Children. The P.E.A.C.E. project, Providing Education And Critical/creative Enlightenment, reflects her international work on critical and creative thinking.
